By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is hereby announced that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to the revision of the current members of the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam, as follows:

- Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Minister of Religious Affairs as the President of the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam;

- Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, deputy Minister of Education and member of the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam to be appointed as the Vice President of the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam;

- Yang Arif Awang Haji Hassan bin Haji Metali, Syariah High Court Judge as new member of the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam.

The date of appointment of Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan sd the President of the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam was effective from Thursday, 17th Zulhijjah, 1447 corresponding to 4th June, 2026 upon his appointment as the Minister of Religious Affairs, whereas the appointment for the Vice President and the new member of the Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam respectively is effective from Tuesday, 7th of Muharram, 1448 corresponding to 23rd of June, 2026.
